The Surfer doesn't seem to understand that human life has value (he is a supremely powerful being who has aided Galactus for quite some time, after all), and Alicia protests. When the Silver Surfer crashes into Alicia Masters' home, the two have a conversation on the nature of Galactus and the Surfer's mission. Related: Galactus Found the Ultimate Way to Torture The Silver Surfer Her part in the Galactus Trilogy is perhaps the most important moment in the story.and unfortunately, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer replaced her with someone else. Fantastic, the Invisible Woman, the Human Torch and the Thing all have their moments to shine - but do does Alicia Masters, the blind girlfriend and later wife of Ben Grimm. The sequel to the 2005 film is based in part on the legendary Galactus Trilogy, a landmark Stan Lee and Jack Kirby tale in Marvel history that saw larger-than-life figures like Galactus and the Watcher (of What If.? fame) threaten the Earth over the course of three issues. But in 2007's Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, a key change from the comic's classic story concerning the Silver Surfer results in a massive missed opportunity to inject gravitas into a film that has none. The first 1994 film was little more than an ashcan copy created on an extremely low budget, the 2005 film was a subpar comedy disguised as a superhero film, and the 2015 Fant4stic reboot was overly dark and joyless. Fans of the Fantastic Four continue to be left disappointed by the team's cinematic adventures out of the four films made, not a single one has resulted in critical or commercial success.
